
As chef and co-owner of Marlow’s Tavern, Aqua Blue, and Hi Life Kitchen and Cocktails, John Metz is thrilling residents in the Atlanta area with cuisine that inspires.Trained by the best, John earned his degree at the Culinary Institute of America. He began his long-standing career at some of the finest restaurants in New York such as The 21 Club, Tribeca Grill, Park Avenue Cafe, Montrachet and Restaurant Daniel.
Not only is Mr. Metz integrally involved in his own ventures, but he is also heavily involved in the restaurant community. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors of the National Restaurant Association and was appointed as Vice Chairman 2005 for the Distinguished Restaurants of North America (DiRoNA).

Robert Schmitz is tasked with optimizing the potential of the Sterling Spoon brand. He excels in providing outstanding client service and oversees all aspects of our café operations.
Robert is an influential leader and key strategist whose efforts are focused on increasing brand awareness and generating sales for the company. He remains intensely involved in day-to-day operations, bringing a wealth of knowledge to the Sterling Spoon team, generated by 25 years of experience in food service.
Robert attended the Burgundy Institute in Auxerre, France and Boston’s Northeastern University. Before joining Sterling Spoon, he served in various capacities, including Vice President of Operations, at two major international food-service companies. Of course, Robert has also held the title of Executive Chef, providing the foundation for his passion for food and his long, successful career in food service.
As creator, designer and partner behind Marlow’s Tavern, Aqua Blue, and Hi Life Kitchen and Cocktails all in the Atlanta area, Thomas DiGiorgio has made a mark in the culinary scene.
Tom is the president of the award winning DK Group, a diversified holding company with current interests in construction, architecture, and real estate development. Based in Pompano Beach, FL the DK Group’s current client list includes Brinker International, Darden, Marriott and McDonald’s.
Tom’s full commitment to providing superior service to his clients has helped make him a powerhouse in the development of commercial and residential real estate projects, as well as an influential member of the Georgia restaurant scene.

John C. Metz began his award-winning career in the hospitality industry in 1967 with the founding of Custom Management Corporation. After many years of success, Morrison’s Hospitality Group acquired the company in 1987 and Mr. Metz was named Chairman and CEO of Morrison’s.
In the early 1990’s, Mr. Metz turned his attention to franchise operations. After owning and operating 12 T.G.I.Friday’s restaurants he was named their Franchise Developer of the Year. He added Krispy Kreme locations as well and continues to operate successful franchise operations in the eastern US. In 2008, Mr. Metz opened a Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Wolfgang Puck Express in the Mohegan Sun Casino at Pocono Downs. His list of accolades and designations is impressive and extensive.
In1994, Mr. Metz formed Metz & Associates Ltd. to provide dining solutions for Healthcare, Education and Corporate clients, a natural extension of his achievements in the food industry. He has proven through these successes, and many others, to possess a keen understanding of the business and a talent for developing long-term relationships that serve as the foundation for growth.
